Kevin fought a long hard battle with diabetes and lost the struggle on October 7, 2018 at Virginia Mason in Seattle. No more pain or suffering. Kevin attended Naches Valley schools graduating in 1974. He then attended YVCC.
Kevin loved horse racing at Yakima Meadows and always loved the longshots. He made many friends, most of them lasted a lifetime. Kevin was a fisherman all his life. The best of days were the days with a fishing pole in his hand. Kevin will be deeply missed by his friends online who were family. Kevin worked in the fruit stand business for over 50 years starting with his parents while in grade school. Later running his own for several years. He truly loved the business and could always close a sale. He met and made many friends.
We all loved the many trips to Reno and Vegas with Kevin. There was lots of fun, silliness and sometimes winning. Kevin always picked the “winning casino.”
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents Jean and Roy Herald, grandparents Willis and Katy Herald, Paul and Hazel Anderson. Kevin is survived by his loving wife Chris whom he met in high school over 43 years ago and by our little Doxie Punkin. Also, survived by 3 aunts and several cousins, mother and father in-law, Alfred and Norma Riddle, and 4 brothers-in-law and their families.
A special thank you to my parents and my brother Don and wife Janelle who stayed with me by Kevin’s side. Also his good friends Angie, Scott, and cousin Jenny. Kevin loved you all.
To my Kevin: I’ve loved you from the day I met you. I will never forget you.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday October 12, 2018 at 1 pm in Naches Cemetery.
