Kathy was born in Yakima, Washington on September 22, 1947 to Richard and Shirley Waters. She was their middle child of three, with sisters Karen and Kandy. She was raised in her family home in Yakima and graduated from Davis High School in 1965. Kathy enjoyed a rewarding career in real estate and she retired early to pursue other interests. She was an energetic, kind hearted woman who always put everyone else’s needs ahead of her own and she really found joy in helping people and would always do so with a genuine smile. Kathy collected angels of all shapes and sizes. Her angels represent herself and her desire to fulfill her higher purpose and be a protector, a healer, and a loving and compassionate friend.
Kathy enjoyed shopping, gardening and traveling the countryside. She cherished grandma days with her little angels. She will certainly miss playing slots at the casino and will miss and be missed by her “ball team girls”. Summer barbeques will not be the same without her famous potato salad and deviled eggs. We will all miss you dearly, but we take comfort in knowing we forever have an angel like you looking over us. We love you.
Kathy is preceded in death by her mother Shirley and her grandson Jeffrey. She is survived by her daughter Karey (Paul), her very special grandchildren Piper and Drew; her father Richard; sister Kandy (Pat), nieces Roni (Kevin) and Kris (Will); sister Karen (Jim), and nephews Kent (Darcy) and Doug (Lisa); and her companion Wayne.
