Kathleen Virginia Crawford

Kathleen was born in Tacoma, Washington on May 28, 1921 to William and Mary (Wilson) Ranger. She grew up in Terrace Heights, graduating from Moxee High School. She married John Edward Crawford on September 30, 1940. They initially made their home in the Tacoma area, moving back to the Yakima Valley in 1944.

Kathleen attended Tieton Drive Bible Chapel and West Valley Church. Besides raising five children, Kathleen worked seasonally at Del Monte cannery for over 20 years and volunteered regularly at the Red Cross.

She is survived by three sons, John P. Crawford and Tony Crawford of Yakima, David Ranger Crawford of Brier, W A; two daughters, Mrs. Ronald (Susan) Sanders of Yakima, Mrs. Larry (Cindy) McPherson of Vancouver, BC; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four siblings, Lola, Helen, Rosemary and Frank.

Visitation will be Noon to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Keith & Keith Ninth Avenue Chapel. Memorial Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the First Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission or Child Evangelism Fellowship. Keith & Keith Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.
