Joy Mae Mondor

Joy Mae Mondor passed away quietly on Saturday May 16th. Joy was born March 27th 1940 and spent the majority of her life in Yakima Washington. Joy enjoyed her family and many friends for 75 years and was loved by all that met her. Joy touched the lives of many people during her life and will be greatly missed. She enjoyed camping, fishing and being in the outdoors with her family.

She was preceded by her son Brian Mondor; parents Juanita and Robert Sappenfield; sisters Dorothy Hensley and Bobbie Lou Sappenfield; brothers Robert, Roy and Norman Sappenfield; grandchildren Ronald Bates and Adam Mondor.

Joy is survived by her Husband Ronald Mondor; daughters Sherry Lakey and Brenda Mondor; son Steven Mondor; brothers Jim and Billy Sappenfield and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Keith and Keith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 11am, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at West Hills Memorial Park. A celebration of life potluck will be held following the graveside at Brenda Mondo’s residence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be sent to the American Heart Association.
