Jean E. Haubrick, 84, Yakima, died on Saturday, 9/24/22 after a long hard-fought battle dealing with dementia, the after effects of multiple strokes, and heart disease. Jean was born in Yakima, WA on 8/16/38.
She attended and graduated from St. Joseph Academy. Upon graduation she had worked as waitress and also in retail. She also worked in various warehouses sorting and packing fruit for many years around the Yakima Valley with her longest employment at Pyramid Orchards. She then changed careers later in life and worked as a Central Supply Technician at Providence (Regional) Medical Center in Yakima, WA where she retired once her husband became very ill. She was a very hard worker. She was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and working with ceramics in her earlier adult years. She also enjoyed shopping and watching game shows, especially The Family Feud. She was quite the teaser and enjoyed joking around and laughing with people. She always greeted and said hello to people wherever she was.
She had been married to Michael R. Haubrick for almost 45 years up until his death to lung cancer in April 2003.
She is also preceded in death by her sister, Frances Zimmerman, her mother, Bertha Richartz, her father, Henry Richartz, her brother, Darrell Richartz, and her little dog, Angel.
She is survived by her 3 daughters, Tammy Henley (Rod) of Arizona City, Az, Jeannette Pomerenke of Kent, WA, and Julie Eichler, of Yakima, WA, 3 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
