James got married on June 22, 1950 to Lola Mae Hughes in Arkansas. During the harvest season James and Lola traveled around. Then in 1989 they moved to Gleed to settle down. At that time James started cutting wood.
James loved to cut wood and he would go up and cut wood any chance he could get. He collected and saved everything he could and would always try and make a dollar.
James battled Alzheimer’s for five years, but always remained to have a smile on his face.
He will be greatly missed.
Survived by his wife Lola Mae Hughes. Daughters Pam Porter (Selah), Joyce Hallman (Union Gap), Wanda Tindle (Kissimmee). And by grand children Sadie Porter (Selah/Pullman), Jason Sims (Selah), Kim Sims (Selah), Michele Pelzel (Selah), Brian and Kim Lawley (Selah). And several grandchildren.
