At a young age his family moved to Selah Washington, and he made that a forever home. He met his wife Darlene (Wart) at the cattle bridge in East Selah while both were there with close friends. They married and continued to live in Selah, raising two daughters and building several homes together.
Dad worked at the Yakima Fire Department for a brief period, then Boise Cascade as a saw filer. He was known to make many cool knives, pull off pranks with his downtime at work. Later he moved to the log yard and enjoyed that position until retirement.
He loved horseback riding with Mom and their good friends, going to horse sales and gabbing with all who would listen to him. He loved hunting with buddies, son-in-law, and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Darlene, his brother Jarvis (Becky), daughters Angie, Cheryl (Bob), grandkids Ashley, Stephany (Andrew), Kane (Taylor), Brittany (Andres), Wade, Emily, Casey Cameron, great grandchildren Kayden, Ethan, Cloe, Lane, Loudyn, Lyndee, Emersyn (on the way) and five nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Jake.
Services will be held at Keith And Keith funeral home on April 19, 2024 at 11 AM with lunch to follow. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at keithandkeith.com for the Burton family.
