Helen Marie Shannon passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at Cottage in the Meadow. She was born on Jan. 7, 1929 to William Arl Wallace and Lottie Jane Wallace. After losing her mother at a very young age, the family moved to Yakima, WA.
Helen married Steele Shannon on Oct. 12 1947. They made their home in Yakima on the family apple ranch where they worked side by side.
She had 3 daughters: Peggy Leonard, Vicki (Dave) Lyden, both of Yakima, WA, and Nancy Primeaux of Myrtle Beach, SC. She has 5 grandchildren: Heather Hubb of Fairbanks, AK, Tammy Gilmour of Yakima, WA, Chad Simpson of Melbourne, Australia, Shannon Golladay of Yakima, WA, and Chris Leonard of Yakima; 7 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Clista Clifton and Mildred Anderson, 2 brothers, Claude Wallace and Don Wallace, and her grandson Chris Leonard.
Helen lived for her grandkids and great grandkids. They were lucky to have had her love. She loved to golf. We know she is golfing in heaven.

A visitation will be at Keith & Keith Funeral Home Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. A Graveside Service will be at West Hills Memorial park on Friday, Oct. 26 at 11:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cottage in the Meadow in care of Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
