Dr. Harry Glenwood Davis went to be with the Lord November 26, 2015 at Cottage in the Meadow. He was born June 25, 1921 in Dayton, Washington, to Harry A. and Grace J. Davis. He was an alumnus of Dayton High School, Eastern Washington University and received his Doctorate of Philosophy from Washington State University. He was also a Master Sergeant in World War II in the United States Army Air Corps.
Glen was an accomplished entomologist and worked for the USDA, where he specialized in the study of insects in agricultural research and obtained patients in his field. He was a member of Trinity Nazarene Church of Yakima.
Glen will be remembered for how he valued education, his love for animals and especially for his gratitude towards others. He was always thankful for his family, friends and the care he received from the special staff at Ponderosa, Arbor House and the Cottage in the Meadow. The family would also like to thank Dr. Cornelius D. Brandt, Chris, and Trish for the excellent care they provided to Glen over the years.
Glen is survived by his wife Helen, daughters Laurel Skaug (Howard) of Moses Lake, Terri Buchanan (Todd) of Yakima, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
A funeral service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, December 4, 2015, at Keith and Keith Funeral Home in Yakima, with a graveside service to follow at 1:30 p.m. in the Dayton Cemetery, Dayton, Washington.
