YAKIMA- Gladys Floyd, 92, of Yakima passed away Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Summitview Healthcare Center.
Gladys was born August 17, 1920 in Verden, Oklahoma to Walter A. and Elise (Lenaburg) Lane.
In 1932 she moved with her family to Yakima, Washington. Gladys worked for the Brown theater family in Yakima before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada and while there met and married her last husband Eddie Floyd. They moved to Arizona where they owned several businesses before retiring in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Eddie passed away in 2000 and Gladys moved to Yakima in May of 2001 to be close to family.
Gladys is survived by one sister, Joyce (Jim) Beaushaw of Yakima; three brothers, Earl (LeNora) Lane and Herbert (Jean) Lane of Yakima and Albert Lane of Oklahoma. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews including, Rena Steiner and Merlyne (Paul) Jenkins, both of Yakima, and also numerous great nieces and great nephews.
Gladys was preceeded in death by her parents, two sisters, and four brothers.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the charity of your choice.
A Graveside Service will be held at Terrace Heights Memorial Park on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 3:30 pm. Keith & Keith Funeral Home are entrusted with the arrangements.
