Frances Pearl Whitehead

Frances (Brandon) Whitehead died on March 22, 2024 in Yakima surrounded by her loving family and her dear friend and preacher Kevin Jensen. She was born on December 17, 1934 in Crowell TX to Jack and Letha (Patterson) Brandon. The family moved to New Mexico where she started school. During World War II her family moved to California and then to Missouri where her father passed away. They moved to Yakima where Frances graduated from Moxee High School in 1953. After graduation she married her high school sweetheart Jim Whitehead. They were blessed with 5 children. When Jim passed in 2015 they had been married 62 years.

Frances was a long time active member of the Summit View Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Jim a son Bill and a grandson Brad. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a sister Edith, brother-in-law Larry, her in-laws Ralph and Dorothy Whitehead and a sister-in-law Betty Palmer. She is survived by her 4 children; Debby Williams, Mike and Cathy Whitehead, Teri and Eric Helberg, Vicki and Darrick Arnold, 16 grandchildren 32 great-grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her extended families, the Burch and Vails families, a wonderful church family that has supported her through many trials, a sister Rose McFarland, 2 sisters-in-law Dorothy Page and Darlene Clark, many niece and nephews and cousins

A celebration of Frances’ life will be held on May 11, 2024 at 11:00 at the Summit View Church of Christ
