Ervin Michael Yoerger

He was born in Hood River, OR to Michael and Estella Yoerger on March 6th, 1917. Ervin married his wife, Jureta Kellum on June 6th, 1941, and they were happily married for 60 wonderful years. In the early 40’s, they relocated to Portland, OR, where they both worked in ship yards.

In 1945, they moved back to Union Gap, WA. Ervin worked in the trucking business in the late 40’s, starting with one truck and building it into a successful business. In his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and getting to know his great grandchildren. He spent a lot of time outdoors and was a very avid camper.

Ervin is survived by his daughter, Judy Hoeft of Union Gap; grandchildren, Brad and Deann Yoerger of Kennewick, Darin and Aimee Yoerger of Yakima, Katrina Yoerger of Union Gap, Lance and Rebecca Lockhart of Spokane and Amber Yoerger of Yakima; great grandchildren, Audri, Kyle, Devin & Cole Yoerger, Dylan & Gracie Lockhart, Haley, and Jada & Shelby Lang; brother, Darrel Yoerger; sisters, Dorothy Riggs, Evelyn Wright and Grace Rath; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by wife Jerry, son Gary, mother and father Mike and Estella, step-mother Jewel, and siblings Arthur, Donna, Pauline, Floyd, Myrna, Allen and Earl.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2012 between 4:00 and 8:00 pm at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Keith and Keith Terrace Heights Chapel on Friday at 12:00 pm with burial to follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
