After her retiring from Congdon Orchards she kept herself busy with knitting, quilting, crocheting, puzzles, and gardening. An amazing cook, she made almost every Sunday feel like Thanksgiving. On her down time she was an avid reader.
Elsie is survived by her eight children Sam McQuerry, Ron (Frances) McQuerry, Donna Arquette, Connie Knight, Cathy McQuerry, Richard McQuerry, Barbara (Clint) Richard, and Rebecca McQuerry, fifteen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren, six great great-children, and many nieces and nephews, and her sister-in-law Mildred. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard McQuerry, her two sons John and Will, her parents, and a brother and sister and by a daughter-in-law, Elaine McQuerry.
