Donald J. Pfau was born in Esmond, ND on March 23, 1939 and passed away January 7, 2012 in Gresham, Oregon. He attended school in Yakima and graduated from Marquette High School and attended YVCC. He was in the Army Reserves for 6 years and worked at Boise Cascade and Bank of Yakima. After moving to Seattle he sold cars and motorcycles and retired from sales in Portland.
Donald is survived by daughters Alyssa Trenkamp and Sharalee Conom, and two grandsons, Dean and Liam. He is also survived by sisters Ramona Violette and Marilyn Harrison (Bernard) and brother Norbert Pfau. He was preceded in death by parents Thomas and Margaret (Schneider) Pfau and brother Donovan Pfau.
Donald was an outstanding football player at Marquette and always loved to watch the games on television. He was so proud of his two daughters both being Seahawks Cheerleaders and so excited when the first grandson was born.
A memorial Mass will be held Saturday January 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Yakima.
