Traveling included 47 states, Canada, Mexico, England, Central America, cruises to Western Caribbean, Panama Canal with stops in Aruba, Costa Rica, and Mexico. His favorite getaways were to the Oregon Coast and to the beaches of Hawaii. He traveled in his motor home as a member of the Family Motor Coach Assoc and was Arizona Chapter president, 2005-2008. Although working hard, he was clear about the importance of time away from work and military, being with family and friends. He loved baseball, attending Mariners games at spring training in Peoria, AZ. He often loaded up his kids for a ski trip to Steven’s Pass and to Whistler/Blackcomb in Canada.
His Christian life was very important to him. He attended the Stone Church for his first 18 years and then later, after 57 years of raising kids, working, military, and traveling, he once again attended the Stone Church after he had moved back to Yakima area to be with family and friends.
