David Reed Rowley, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away doing what he loved, scuba diving, in Belize on May 4th 2015. He was born in American Falls, Idaho on September 18th, 1950 to Thelma and Arliss Reed Rowley. He spent most of his childhood in Anchorage, Alaska until moving back to Idaho in his teens. The family then moved to Yakima and Dave graduated from A.C. Davis High School in 1969.
Dave married the love of his life, Linda Sue Turner, on September 17th 1970. They welcomed a baby boy, Shannon Reed Rowley, on February 4th 1971.
Dave and Lynn worked at Snokist Cannery from 1970 until they retired in 2003. They enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, trips to tropical locations and spending time with family and friends.
Dave is survived by his son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren (Shannon, Shari, Chelsea and Dylan Rowley); sister and brother-in-law (Linda and Terry Catmull); as well as his extended family of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews; and many many friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lynn, on November 24th, 2009.
Dave will be forever remembered as a wonderful son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Rainer Memorial Center,
2807 Terrace Heights Rd. Yakima in Terrace Heights.
