Carolyn was born to Alex and Louise Hansen on February 2, 1959, in Placerville, California.
Carolyn (aka Sissy by her siblings) was the third of four of their children. Carolyn became the daughter/sister to her extended family members as well.
Carolyn lived in Yakima valley most of her life where she graduated from A.C. Davis High School and later received her automotive degree from Perry Technical College.
Carolyn and her husband John owned their own salvage business and made many friendships through their business. Carolyn also found satisfaction in repairing different types of machinery for customers. Carolyn and John also spent their time together volunteering at the different Washington State rest areas supplying snacks and beverages to the many travelers and listening to them share their stories.
Over the years, Carolyn enjoyed passing the time reading, crossword puzzles, watching her favorite shows, playing cards or a good game of Yahtzee with her neighbors, and visiting with her aunt. Carolyn and her mom enjoyed each other’s company especially when they would drive the valley in pursuit of the hunt for yard sales.
However, Carolyn’s favorite pastimes were spending time with her daughter Falinda shopping, dining out and fishing.
Carolyn loved her family more than simple words could ever express.
Carolyn had never met a stranger and those that became close to her enjoyed her sense of humor and pure honesty. On February 7th, Carolyn was greeted in celebration by her family, friends, and her beloved animals that proceeded her homecoming into heaven.
On April 14th, 2023, at 1pm in remembrance together we will celebrate Carolyn’s life here on earth at Keith and Keith in Yakima.
