After receiving her nursing degree, Caroline served our country in the US. Navy during WWII. She fell in love with a fellow soldier ACRT George F. Hahn while helping him recover from an infection in a hospital in Hawaii. They were married on February 7, 1945 in Seattle, WA.
Caroline and George came to Yakima to make their home in 1955. She worked as a nurse for many of the nursing homes in the Yakima Valley. Caroline was a care giver through and through, nursing was her lifelong passion. She loved serving people and meeting their needs when life's difficult moments showed up Even after retirement, she continued her loving care with Hospice making people's end of life journeys a little easier. Caroline was also a faithful member to St. Paul's Cathedral and the Young Ladies Institute.
She is survived by her daughter, Nora and husband Jerry Robbins, grandson Greg Robbins and sisters Philomena Mitler and Rosalee Anderson. Caroline was preceded in death by her husband George; son Stephen Hahn; grand- son Michael Turnbloom; sisters Sophia Bedocs and Antoinette Jablonski and brother Frank Boron.
A visitation will be held from 4pm to 8pm with a vigil service starting at 5:30pm, Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am, Thursday, June 23rd at St. Paul Chapel with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cottage in the Meadow.
