Carol was born on September 11, 1944 in Huron, South Dakota to Harvey Gelo and Joyce (Kimmel) Gelo. She was raised and educated in Yakima, WA.
After retirement Carol spent many hours volunteering alongside her husband, Ed Lane. They volunteered for the American Red Cross and Memorial Hospice. When not volunteering she spent her hours creating beautiful quilts and needlepoint pieces, several of which won blue ribbons at the Central WA State Fair. She was also an accomplished seamstress making many beautiful dresses for her daughters.
Carol is survived by her three daughters; Wendy Lane (Steve) of Yakima, WA, Tammy Eldredge (Pat) of Hedgesville, WV and Vicky Crider (Matt) of New York, NY. She is also survived by several grandchildren; James Ney, Paris & Briana Eldredge and step-grandchildren Nathanial, Taylor & Seth Crider. She is also survived by brothers Gerry (Lynn) Collins and Steve (Debbie) Collins.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Eddie Lane, and her parents Victor & Joyce Baumgartner & Harvey Gelo.
Carol requested no services.
