Bobbie Jean Bird, age 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 18, 2017. She was born on June 27, 1932 in Brownbranch, MO to loving parents Voydle and Blanche Storms Lawrence, she being the oldest of eight children.
Early in her life Bobbie’s family moved to White Salmon, WA where she grew up and met Jessie Lee Bird. They were married on July 26, 1950 and had two sons, Danny and Stanley. Bobbie loved her family and enjoyed cooking and cutting down trees! She was completely dedicated to her family and was a wonderful mother and grandmother to everyone. The love of her life Jessie Lee passed away on November 5, 1992.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her dear husband, son Stanley, parents Voydle and Blanche, and siblings Jim, Steve, and Bette.
She is survived by her son Danny Bird, granddaughter Trista (William) Bird-Smith, great granddaughters Kaylee, Kaitlin, and Elora Jean all of Yakima, WA. Bobbie is also survived by her siblings Bev Miller of White Salmon, WA, Mary Lawrence of Stayton, OR, Joetta (Rick) Wall of Vancouver, WA, and Myrtle “Claire” Bryan of White Salmon, WA.
Viewing will be held at Keith & Keith Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Rainier Memorial Center located at 2807 Terrace Heights Drive, Yakima, WA, with burial to follow at Terrace Heights Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Yakima Area Arboretum.
