Beverly Jean Todd went to be with her Lord on October 19, 2018. Born in Naches, Washington on September 28, 1928, she was the second child of Robert and Dorothy Allan. When she was very young, her parents moved the family to a farm in Tieton where she and her two brothers were raised.
Beverly loved being outdoors; as a child helping her dad with farm chores and as a wife and mother growing gardens of flowers, fruits and vegetables and preserving produce for her family’s winter food supply. She also enjoyed sewing clothing for the family, knitting, crocheting, embroidering, and many other crafts. In high school she sang in a triple trio and through the years that followed sang duets of gospel music with her husband.
Upon graduating from Highland High School in 1947, Beverly married Jack Brown. Early in their marriage Bev and Jack came to know the Lord Jesus and remained steadfast in the importance of following him throughout the rest of their lives. They raised four children, mostly in the Tieton area but after living for a brief time in the Idaho panhandle they emigrated to British Columbia Canada where they enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of a rural lifestyle for many years.
In 2000 Jack passed away and Beverly moved back to the valley of her birth. In 2003 she met and married Charles Edward (Ed) Todd. They shared five wonderful years together before Ed passed away in 2008.
She is survived by her four children, Charlene (Phillip) Abri of Yakima, Jack David (Julie) Brown of Selah, Denise (Miles) Fuller of Burns Lake, BC Canada, and Glenna (Wally) Yahnke of Horsefly, BC Canada; ten Grandchildren; five Great-Grandchildren; six nephews, two nieces; two sisters-in-law Leatrice Allan of Yakima and Linda Allan of Pasco; two step-daughters Marilyn Metcalf and LilliAnn Loyd, one step-son John Todd; and several beloved old friends.
Beverly is predeceased by both of her husbands, Jack Brown and Ed Todd, her parents Robert and Dorothy Allan, her brothers Leslie Allan and Keith Allan, and a step-son Edward Charles (Chuck) Todd.
A special thanks to the management and staff of Apple Creek Adult Family Homes for their kindness and care of Mom.
