Multi-Care Yakima Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
She was born November 28, 1951 in Yakima at St. Elizabeth Hospital to Olex and Maria
Juchta, Ukrainian and Belarus immigrants. She graduated from Highland High School in 1970.
In 1972 she married Richard Fortier and had two sons. Todd in 1981, and Brock in 1986.
After high school Anna attended Charm Beauty School and was then a hairdresser for
over 50 years, working at People’s department store, J.C. Penney’s, and finally a shop of her
own, The Hairmaker, on 10th Avenue.
She was very involved in sports in earlier years. Softball, bowling, and of course golfing with the Women’s Club at Suntides. She made lifelong friends from all of her endeavors. She also enjoyed bingo, board games, cooking, going to Seaside,Or and Las Vegas, and being around friends and family. She was fiesty, funny, smart, passionate, and caring, and loved a good bloody mary.
She is survived by Todd Fortier and Brock Fortier of Yakima. She is also survived by her
sisters, Lida Juchta of Yakima, and Nita MacArthur of Longview.
She is predeceased by her parents Olex and Maria Juchta and her ex-husband Richard
Fortier.
Funeral services will be Friday, May 5th, 2023 at 1:00 P.M. at Keith and Keith Funeral
Home on Yakima Avenue with a reception following.

will be greatly missed.
