Timothy “Tim” Bell, 63, of Columbus, passed away on September 26, 2023. He was born on March 9, 1960, preceded in death by father Thomas Bell, mother Bonnie Bell Myers, step-father, Victor Myers, and his grandmother, Christine “Granny” Wallet.
Tim, a graduate of Barberton High School in Barberton, OH, was an employee of Worthington Industries for 40 years and most recently served as Supply Chain Manager of Industrial Products. Tim valued community in all forms -- he took great pride in ComFest, a Columbus community festival, and volunteered for the Stonewall Columbus Organization. Every Christmas, he worked at the mid-Ohio food bank.
He shared his mother’s love of cooking and gatherings -- he valued time spent with family and friends, cooking and eating, especially for special occasions and holiday celebrations. He also enjoyed time away, soaking up the sun on vacations in Key West and Put-in-Bay as well as spending time on the waters of Portage Lakes in Akron, OH. He enjoyed having music in his life; two of his favorite musicals were Wicked and Rent.
Tim will be greatly missed by his sisters, Terri (Ric) Wiley and Becki (Steve) Buda; step-sisters, Heidi (Toby) Jurging and Leanne (Ray) Agurkis; step-brother, Doug (Deanne) Sparr; step-mother, Anita Bell; nieces and nephews, Allison, Justin, Madison, Melanie (Tom), Jackson, Porter, Harper aka “Little Lois”, and Easton; the Rose Family; the Wallet Family; and numerous extended family and close friends, including those he worked with at Worthington Industries. As Tim had numerous close friends and colleagues, his closest companion was his cat, Martin Thomas Bell now known as Martin Timothy Thomas Bell.
Per Tim’s request there will be no funeral services. A Celebration of Life will take place on Sunday, Oct. 15th at Worthington Hills CC, Worthington, OH from 2-5pm.
