Robert Eugene Nutter

Robert Nutter, 100, of Westerville, passed away on October 31, 2022. He was born on November 18, 1921 in Clarksburg, W.Va, to the late Guy Nutter and Sadie Creighton. In addition to his parents and stepmother Anna, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; siblings, Dave Nutter and Kitty Musser.

Veteran of WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War. Retired from the Air Force after 25 years. Retired from The Ohio State University. Longtime member of the Neoacacia Masonic Lodge #595 F. & A.M. Bob was a 32nd Degree Mason. Achbar Grotto; Scottish Rite; York Rite; Aladdin Shriners; VFW #1598; American Legion Post 171. Bob had a love for music. He played the banjo, guitar, violin, and piano. Bob loved working on cars. He had a love for old classic cars and airplanes. Bob and his wife Polly enjoyed going on daily car rides. After Polly passed, Bob enjoyed going on trips with his family.

Robert will be greatly missed by his children, Bev (Ed) Manzione, Sheila (John) VanDorn, and Dee (Alan) Tharp; grandchildren, Travis and Brandon Manzione, Joe (Amber) and Katie VanDorn, and Keith Tharp and Kayla (Lance) Pierpoint; great-grandchildren, Avelyn, Avery, Pratt, Eli, and Aria; and numerous extended family and close family friends.

A visitation for Robert will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. A funeral service will occur Friday, November 11, 2022 at 1:00 PM, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. A celebration of life luncheon will occur Friday, November 11, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert’s name may be made to The James Cancer Research Institute.
