Paul Back

Paul Delno Back of Delaware, Ohio was born to Vernis Back and Eva Campbell Back on December 19, 1941 at Ulvah, Kentucky. On September 30, 2024 at 82 years of age, he left this world to be with the Lord. His sisters were Doylene Adams, Lorene Parrish, Velva June Beal, and Lois Marchiny. Brothers were John Lee Back, William Lundy Back, Tommy Back and Ernest Back.

After Graduation from Letcher High School, Letcher, Kentucky, he joined the United States Air Force and served four years. He earned his Associate Degree in Business and Banking at the University of Indianapolis. He married Repha Christine Stamper on July 16, 1966 and they had two children, Lorena Lynn Harner (Christopher) of Lewis Center, Ohio, and Craig Douglas Back of Gilbert, Arizona.

Paul was a member of the Indian Bottom Association of Old Regular Baptists of Jesus Christ for approximately 50 years and was a member at Lone Valley Old Regular Baptist Church of Jesus Christ in Salem, Indiana, and, most recently, Crab Orchard Old Regular Baptist Church of Jesus Christ in Crab Orchard, Kentucky.

He is survived by two sisters, Lorene and Lois, his wife Christine, daughter Lynn, son Craig, and four grandchildren: Ashley Nicole Harner (Andrew Wahba), Megan Elizabeth Lopez (Francisco), Ryan Christopher Harner and Lindsey Brooke Harner. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernis, mother, Eva, sisters Doylene and Velva June, and brothers John Lee, Lundy and infant brothers Tommy and Ernest.

A visitation for Paul will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1:00 PM, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, OH 43085. A graveside service will occur Monday, October 14, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens and Funeral Home, 1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143.
