Nancy Milliken, 75, of Worthington, passed away peacefully in the company of her family, on December 3, 2023. She was born on October 23, 1948, in Cleveland, to the late John and Acquila (Beckovic) Mazan. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her cousin, Tom Hale.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband John A. Milliken, children; Adam (Allison) Milliken and Katie (Dave) Slanker, grandchildren; Nathaniel and Brandon Slanker, cousins; Kathy Ainsworth and Lynn Corson, along with other dear family and friends.
Nancy was a graduate of Ohio University with a degree in Social Work class of 1970 where she met John and later received her master’s degree in Social Work from Ohio State University. Her education and inner passion were in helping others especially children, which she did throughout her career at Franklin County Welfare, Franklin County Children Services, Worthington Counseling, Concord Counseling and Childhood League Center Preschool.
Nancy loved to read, loved the beauty of nature and walks on the river trail behind the house, loved vacations to the beach, enjoyed music especially Neil Diamond. She loved playing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed the company of good friends and family and talking and listening for hours over a coffee, meal, or the occasional happy hour beer.
