Adele was born on February 10, 1935 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Frank and Anna (Wawrosch) Fausten. She was a 1953 graduate of Liberty High School where she was a cheerleader and majorette. Growing up, Adele always wanted to be a nurse and she received her nursing degree from The Youngstown Hospital Association School of Nursing in 1956. She worked as an RN for many years in the Youngstown area.
Adele married Stephen James (Jim) Roper on August 24, 1957. They moved to Boardman, Ohio where they raised their two children, Jim and Lisa.
Her husband Jim preceded Adele in death on January 20, 1996. She was also preceded by her parents, Frank and Anna Fausten and her sister, Margaret (Fausten) Johnston.
Adele is survived by her son Jim and his wife Kim of Worthington and her daughter Lisa (Roper) Quesnel and her husband Bob of Dublin. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Drew Roper (fiancé Catherine Carroll), Matt Roper (fiancé Andrea Gevas), Morgan Quesnel and Kelly Quesnel, all of Columbus, along with twelve nieces and nephews.
A private family only service will take place at Schoedinger Funeral Home in Worthington on Saturday. Adele will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery in Hudson, Ohio with her late husband Jim whom she has dearly missed since his passing in 1996.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Heartland/ProMedica in Dublin who cared for Adele while she resided there since 2019.
