Mary Frances “Fran” Cordier Patterson, age 74, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 29th, 2022. She was born May 8th, 1948 in Fresno, California to Joseph Cordier and Martha Jane Phillips. Fran graduated from Leavenworth High School in Leavenworth, Washington. She married her loving husband, David Patterson, on February 2nd, 1968. She graduated from Ohio Dominican University with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting in 1992. Fran was a member of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribe, Montana.
Fran was a devoted wife and mother. She was intelligent, independent, strong willed, fierce and protective of her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She taught all of her children to ice skate. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed spending time outdoors. She loved to take her grandkids to Lynd’s Fruit Farm to pick apples in the fall. Family picnics at a park always included food and fun. She was an expert cook and baker. We will miss her sense of humor, smile, and laugh. She could always make you laugh.
Fran is preceded in death by the love of her life of 52 years, David Elmer Patterson, as well as her parents, infant daughter Jessica, and brother Howard Walters.
She is survived by her children Jenny (Steve) Houseman, James (Dana) Patterson and Penny (Dave Hammerle) Patterson; stepson David (Tina) Patterson; and grandchildren Reece Patterson, Jacob Houseman, Brady Patterson, Isabelle Hammerle, Landon Patterson, Logan Patterson, Katherine Hammerle, Caleb Patterson and Micah Patterson.
Fran is also survived by sisters Vickie Howell, Heidi Russ, Carol Farrens, and Jodi Lynn Cordier; nieces and nephews Doug Walters, Alicia Walker, Matt Reed, Janessa Subido, Madison Russ, Roswell Russ, Mandi Bender, Anthony Walters and Jeramie Farrens. She will also be sadly missed by her beloved dog, Tinkerbell.
Fran’s family would like to thank Nicole and all of the health aides from Bella Care Hospice for the care that she received over the last several years.

Memorial Service for Fran will be at 3pm on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at Schoedinger Worthington.
