Mark Bennett Forquer, Jr., age 94, died Nov 24, 2022, at his Wesley Glen home. Son of the late Mark Bennett Sr. and Melda Sterner Forquer, born February 9, 1928, in New Lexington, Ohio. Graduate of New Lexington High School (1946). Served in Japan with the US Army of Occupation, 1947-48. Married to Charlotte Richards for 72 years.
Employed by Sears Roebuck for 38 years in Elyria, Lancaster, and Columbus (Northland, Eastland, and Westland). Lifelong Ohio State fan and Ohio State Football “Redcoat” for 30 years. Past president of Lancaster Jaycees; past volunteer for the Lancaster and Columbus Soap Box Derby, Junior Achievement, and New Lexington High School Alumni Scholarship Committee.
Preceded in death by parents; sister Eileen (Carl) Fuchs, brother Ed (Roberta) Forquer, son John Richards Forquer. Survived by wife Charlotte; daughter Martha Anne Forquer, son Bill (Miriam), dearest Nancy Hill; grandchildren Lorien Hill-Purcell, Matt (Mei He), Paige (Drew) Shatto, Jacob, Sean; great-grandchild Calvin Shatto; and many Forquer and Fuchs cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Celebration of Life on December 17, 2022, at Wesley Glen Auditorium, 5155 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214. Visitation Noon-2pm, Memorial 2-3pm, food and drink immediately after.
