Marguerite Brown, age 99, passed away on September 26, 2024 at Wesley Glen Retirement Community, Columbus, OH. She was the daughter of Louis and Mildred Nuzum Niggemeyer and was born in Carthage Twp., Ohio. Marguerite was never without numerous houseplants, a crossword puzzle, photos of family, and stories from her many years of life experiences. She was predeceased by her husband of seventy years, Richard Brown. Surviving her are daughter Lynne (Mark) Siegal of Worthington, Ohio; son Michael (Leah) Brown of Uniontown, Ohio; grandson Garrett (Megan) Brown and great-grandchildren Audrey, Margo, and Marshall Brown of Canton, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held at Wesley Glen, 5155 N. High Street on Monday October 14 at 11:00 am; Reverend Dawn Swartz officiating. Family will greet friends immediately following the service. Private interment will be at Bates Cemetery in Athens, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bates Cemetery Association c/o Pat Brickles; 5759 Pleasant Hill Road; Athens, Ohio 45701.
