Linda (Cantrell) Williams, 80, of Westerville, passed away on August 20, 2023. She was born on December 7, 1942, in Paynesville, WV, to the late James and Orpha (Horne) Cantrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Cantrell; sister Pauline (Richard) Gonser; brother-in-law, Richard Gonser, brother-in-law, Jim Wyant; and nephew, Keith Parker.
Linda spent the majority of her childhood in Monroe, Michigan, where she married Raymond F. Marshall, Jr. and had her daughter, Leslie. She then moved to Fredericktown, Ohio where she could be closer to her mother and step-father, William Kidd, while Leslie was a child. She and Leslie then moved to Columbus in 1982 where Linda had a very vibrant and successful career in office management and finance at Children’s Hospital, Franklin University, and retiring from the Alzheimer’s Association.
Leslie was the light of Linda’s life and raised her as a loving, protective mother and dedicated, fun-loving best friend. She gave everything she had as a mother, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. She was well known for her hugs, her listening ear, her smile, her generosity, and her love for her fur-baby, Sunni.
Linda will be greatly missed by her daughter, Leslie, and son-in law, Mike Hansen; sisters, Loretta (Alan) Powonder and Beulah Wyant as well as her “other” children, her grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A visitation for Linda will be held Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Vineyard Church of Delaware County, 1001 West Cherry Street, Sunbury, OH 43074. Following the visitation will be a memorial service at 10:30 AM. A small gathering will take place after the service. Details will be provided at the service.
