Joan Kline

Joan Kline, 93, of New Albany, passed away on October 28, 2024. She was born on September 27, 1931, in New Kensington, PA, to the late Kenneth and Francis (Amidon) Mardis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her five siblings.

Joan’s entire life was a life full of service and giving to others. Her professional career started when she graduated as a registered nurse from Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Her nursing career spanned until her retirement at the age of 75 years old. Joan loved to volunteer whether it was a charity, at church, or at garden clubs. She also enjoyed being a counselor at the Juvenile Detention Center, giving tour guides at the Ohio Historical Society, and along with her husband they enjoyed hosting foreign ministries over the years. Joan was an avid supporter of the Republican Party.

Joan will be greatly missed by her loving husband of 70 years, Wilbur Kline; children, Dennis (Grace) Kline, William (Rosita) Kline, and Jean Colette (Paul) Pondella; brother, Timothy Mardis; five grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and close family friends.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 10am until 12pm, where a funeral will follow at 12pm, at the Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 North High St, Worthington OH, 43085.
