After graduating from Whetstone High School, he served in the Air Force for four years. While serving in the Ohio Air National Guard, he attended Franklin University where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and began his career with the family business at Lowder Sales, Inc. During his 43 years at Lowder Sales, he served as President of the company for over 25 years. Jeff served his customers as if their business was his own and treated their employees as if they were family. Jeff’s selfless dedication to the industry was admired by many and will be the pillars that his company carries into the next generation.
Above all Jeff was devoted to his family. He shared 41 years of marriage with his loving wife Peggy Baumgartner. Together, they raised two daughters Amanda and Samantha. Jeff created special memories with his family over innumerable meals and family vacations. As a long time resident of Westerville, Ohio, Jeff devoted much of his time to the community. Some of his favorite hobbies included playing guitar, being an avid sportsman, reading, traveling, watching sports, and telling terrible Dad jokes. The word “no” was not in Jeff’s vocabulary.
