Janet Whitman

Janet Whitman, 71, of Powell, passed away on June 23, 2023. She was born on October 2, 1951, to the late Richard and Emily (Vincent) Willey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Ann Willey.

Janet was a devoted mother, grandma, aunt, cousin and friend. Not only was she devoted and loyal to those she loved, she also had a keen ear for grammar, she would compete against you at bowling, read constantly, listen to Neil Diamond songs and spend time with her beloved kitties. She was a devoted follower of tennis and of Ohio State Athletics.

Janet will be greatly missed by her children, David Whitman, Kelly (David) Calcaterra, and Carrie Whitman; grandchildren, Hannah, Jenaiya, Charlie, Brenna, and Ryan; devoted friend, Chris Fazio; and numerous extended family and close friends.

Please join us for an open house on Friday, July 14th, 2023. Come by anytime between 5:30pm and 8:30pm to celebrate Jan at the Village at Wedgewood Clubhouse, 3888 Sandstone Circle, Powell, Ohio 43065.

Light snacks and beverages will be provided. In lieu of flowers (daisy’s), bring your favorite stories and memories of Jan.
