Jane grew up in Gallipolis Ohio where she attended Gallia Academy, class of 1948. She married her high school Sweetheart William A. Welker. Jane had a lifelong love of music. She studied Piano at the Cincinnati Conservatory of music. She enjoyed many hobbies including travel, bridge, crosswords, and other puzzles. She especially loved to visit the Western United States and Las Vegas. She even participated in several blackjack tournaments. Music was a theme that went through her life. Jane enjoyed passing her love of music to her family.
Jane adored her family and took great pride in raising her children and being a loving grandmother. Jane is preceded in death by her parents Paul and May Haskins, husband William A. Welker, sister Patricia Brown (Charles), sister Betty (Dave) Price. Survived by her loving children- Son William (Shelly) Welker of Dayton Oh, Daughter Rebecca (Bill) Burke. Grandchildren Molly Burke (Laura), Amanda Merville (Austin), Kenneth Burke (Joanna), Elizabeth Welker (Tyler Gyolai). Great grandchildren Willow and Ben. As well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family would like to thank Hospice and the loving caregivers Karen and Crystal, as well as visiting angel Jennifer. They all meant a lot to Jane at the end of her life.
Family and Friends will be received Wednesday August 16, 2023 at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel 6699 N. High Street (1/2 Mile South of I-270). Visitation will be 4:30-6pm with a funeral service at 6pm.
Graveside service will be held at Mound Hill Cemetery, Gallipolis Oh at a later date.
