James Michael Ruble “Jim” 67, of Worthington, Ohio passed away on Easter Sunday, April 9, 2023. He was born April 10, 1956, in Hubbard, Ohio, the son of the late Ed and Marie (Higgins) Ruble. He graduated from Youngstown Ursuline High School and attended Youngstown State University.
Jim is preceded in death by his brother Dennis Edward Ruble. He is survived by his wife Nancy (Metzger) Ruble; three children Jennifer (Bobby), James (Tenisha), and, Thomas (Chelsea); step-daughters Tara McCoy, Michelle McCoy (Dennis), Jamie Hess (George); grandchildren Adriana, Shaylynne, Malayah, Makiyah, George, Elliot, Athena, Madyson, Jaxon, Jayce, and, Gabriel; first wife Karen Ruble; siblings Donna Jean Ruble, Kathy Tucciarone (Jim), Tom Ruble (Alice), Donnajean (Poulakas) Ruble, and many nieces and nephews.
Jim worked as a sales manager in senior living facilities around the country. During his retirement he enjoyed working for a local auto parts store delivering to dealerships and repair shops in Columbus. Jim was known for his big personality, making friends wherever he went, and making people laugh. He was an avid OSU sports fan.
Visitation will be at Schoedinger Funeral Home 6699 N High Street, Worthington Ohio from 3 – 6 p.m. A service will begin at 6:00 p.m. Jim requested that his friends wear their OSU gear as he did not want a formal memorial.
There will be no funeral procession to a cemetery after the service, but instead a Celebration of Life toast to his memory at the Iron Grill Barbeque and Brew located at 5295 N High Street, Columbus, Ohio.
