Harold (Hal) Elliott, age 91, of Columbus, OH passed away May 20, 2022. Hal was born January 10, 1931 to the late Colonel Escalus Emmert and Sara June Elliott at Fort Monroe, VA. He is preceded in death by his brother Escalus Emmert Elliott, Jr.
He was a graduate of The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Business Administration where he was a member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Hal was a lifelong Buckeye fan. He was a former U.S. Army captain at Fort Meade, MD before beginning his career as an accountant. After retirement from PNC Bank, Hal enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife. From childhood, he enjoyed his stamp and coin collections. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church.
Hal is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Manns) Elliott, along with their daughters Joan (Mike) Wintermantel, Brenda (Tom) Thayer, and Nancy (Todd) Burris. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Hal’s family will receive friends on Friday, May 27, 2022 at Schoedinger Funeral and Cremation Service, 6699 N. High St., Worthington from 2pm to 3pm prior to a 3pm memorial service officiated by Rev. Aaron Layne.
