This is being sent because I want others to know  how much  Don  helped my  husband.. He taught him the many ways to improve  playing billiards.  He was kind, respectful, and very knowledgeful - he actually drove h im to Dublin to a store where everything concerning pool are sold.  We had already  bought a que stick  at Walmarts _ for $39.00, but Don could tell that would never help to improve any score.  I watched Don explain to Cal what you need in a que stick  So we walked out of that store with  a $180.00 que stick   My husband was very happy and eager to use it.   As it turned out, my husband  died several months later, and Don suggested we give the new stick to our daughter who plays very well.  So, in  a way, Don's influence lives on in the next generation. My deepest condolences in learning of Don’s passing. I often tell the story of how he kicked my butt on the racquetball court (every time we played). May God give you strength during these most difficult days.

Don and Pat Young hold a special place in our hearts. They were foundational in helping my wife Kelly when we first came to Powell. We deeply love and appreciate them. 

When I moved to Columbus in 1986, I wanted a local State Farm agent, and was blessed to find Don. I met him & Pat in line for a Hosanna conference at Grace Polaris before I even moved to town.  They were both always so positive and uplifting - faithful servants of our Lord Jesus.

I so enjoyed working with Don as an Elder at Worthngton Grace Brethren Church as well as Powell Grace Brethren Church. Don was a faithful servant and loved Jesus. I also had privledge of coaching Todd in little league football. I was able to meet with Brian, who was a Worthngton Police officer, on several occasions. God has been so good to the Young family. My husband (Tom) and I met Don in 1959 when we had to change  State Farm agents from the one we had in Cleveland.  Pat was receptionist  plus "the do everything  girl" for Don then.  We became good friends although we didn't really live very close. When Larry Harris started holding Rally's at The Village and WBDR was just a "dream" for Larry we attended many of them.   Later most  of us became residents at  Delaware Run when the apartments were made available including Don, Pat and me....so our close friendship renewed.  Don, Pat and their children will always hold a very special place in my heart.  


Don was so nice to my husband . He helped him buy a better que stick and gave him pointers to improve playing pool. Cal wanted to play so much but never had the opportunity, Don's assistance and caring meant a lot not only to Cal, but also to me. He was a great person in many ways and we were fortunate to have him for  FRIEND.  My husband passed away four years shortly after getting the "stick". I know he thought highly of Don.
