Donald Milton Newman Jr.

Donald Newman Jr., passed away on September 17, 2022. He was born on May 23, 1937, in Dayton Ohio, to the late Donald Newman Sr. and Odessa (Hopewell) Newman. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Janet “Arlene” (Wiley) Newman and brother William Newman. He is survived by his sisters Patricia Williams and Robin Claspill and brother David Newman.

Don served in the Navy after graduating from Fairview High School in Dayton, Ohio. He worked as a repair technician and systems analyst for over forty years at the Central Ohio Aerospace and Technology Center in Heath, Ohio. He loved landscaping and was an avid movie and model train collector. Don also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and most recently with his great grandchildren. He will be remembered by his quick wit, quirky humor, and sentimental personality.

Don will be greatly missed by his children, James (Sherry) Newman, Jon (Jennifer) Newman, Jodi Litton, and Joel Newman; grandchildren, Samantha (Justin) Treinish, Jared (Lorrin) Newman, Abby Newman, and Gabe Newman; great grandchildren, Halle and Harlow Newman.

A Celebration of Life (Open House Gathering) will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2022, from 12PM until 3PM at the Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home.
