David was born in New Brighton, Pennsylvania on March 21, 1939, son of the late Jacob and Lenora Rose. David was honorably discharged from the National Guard in 1956 and later served in the US Navy until honorably discharged in June, 1963. He met his wife, María Teresa Viadé while stationed with the Navy in Barcelona, Spain, and they were married in the Catholic Church of Santa María de Sants in Barcelona on March 17, 1959.
David and Maria Teresa had three children in New Brighton, PA and later moved to and resided in Worthington, Ohio until his recent passing. While in Worthington, David worked at American Electric Power.
David was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus (4th degree Knight in Assembly 3037) and was Past Grand Knight of St. Peter Council 11216. He loved playing cards, horseshoes, and harmonica; camping, fishing and traveling; and spending time with family and friends. He also had a Ham Radio License and enjoyed volunteering at many local events.
David is survived by his wife of 63 years, Maria Teresa; children David (Cindi) Rose, Kirk (Julia) Rose and Mercedes (Adriatik) Rose Jakupi; as well as 8 grandchildren who loved him very much, Josep Rose, James Rose, Justin Rose, Jack Rose, Judy Rose, Drin Jakupi, Lenora Jakupi and Dominic Rose.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Columbus Humane Society or the American Red Cross in the name of David Ralph Rose.
