I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
Mrs. Bo Young Choe, age 88, passed away in peace on September 18, 2023. She was born on April 30, 1935, in Korea and immigrated to the United States with her family in 1973.
Mrs. Choe was a woman of unwavering faith in the Lord Jesus. Alongside her beloved husband, she devoted herself to the mission of church planting, a path she followed in obedience to God's calling. In the sixties, she played a pivotal role in establishing Dae-nong Methodist Church in Pyong-taek, Korea, and continued her mission by founding the Korean Sandusky Methodist Church in the seventies. She was appointed as a senior deacon in the Korean Mansfield United Methodist Church; and was senior deacon emeritus of Joeun Korean Methodist Church of Columbus.
Mrs. Choe found joy in prayer, worship, and service to God, petitioning for the church, singing hymns to the Lord, and raising funds for missionaries. She loved her family, and she got immense happiness from indulging her great-grandchildren with chocolate.
Mrs. Choe is now reunited with her beloved husband in the arms of the Lord. She is survived by her children, Yong (Chung) and Susan (John); her grandchildren, Ellie (David) and Paul; and her great-grandchildren, Rosie and Jude.
A visitation for Mrs. Choe will be held Saturday, September 30, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Schoedinger Worthington, 6699 N High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Following the service, a burial ceremony and interment will take place at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, Ohio 43202.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests contributions to a charity of your choice, in honor of Mrs. Choe's memory. Her legacy of faith, love, and devotion will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.
