Annie Borah Kennedy died September 11, 2023 in a car accident. Annie and her twin sister, Jane, were born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on April 25, 1954 to Louise and William Borah. She grew up in Olney, Illinois. She was married to Patrick Davey Kennedy, the love of her life, for 21 years.
She was a successful businesswoman. She worked in incentive travel for many years and owned her own business – ABK Company. In addition, she was a creative fiber artist. She and her sister, Jane, owned AJ Creatives, a rug-hooking business.
She was an active member of the Edina Morningside Rotary for many years where she served as a District Trainer, Club Administrator and President.
Annie loved singing. She was a member of the Edina Chorale of Edina, Minnesota for 10 years. She served as Board Member, Vice President and President of the Chorale as well as Publicity and Small Group Event Coordinator. While traveling with the Chorale to Austria and Italy, she especially enjoyed the opportunity to sing in St. Peter’s Basilica.
In Columbus Annie joined the First Community Church Chancel Choir. She recently traveled with the Chancel Choir to sing in Portugal and Spain. Annie was a member of The Harmony Project, volunteering in the Project’s many communitive activities and singing in its choir.
Annie touched many hearts. She adored her grandchildren and grand niece and nephew. She had a special bond with her great nephew Michael, who she was helping raise and took great joy in his company.
Annie was creative, artistic, and loving, she radiated a vibrant light and energy that could be felt by all around her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise and William Borah and husband Patrick. She is survived by her 5 siblings, William Borah Jr, Jane Hutcheson, Joseph Borah, Sue Bourke, and Bernard Borah, her stepdaughter Allison Kennedy and stepson Matt Kennedy, his wife Karen Kennedy, and their four children Benjamin, Mya, Isabel, and Michael.

A celebration of life will be held on September 30, 2023 at 12 noon, First Community Church, North Campus, 3777 Dublin, Rd, Columbus, OH 43221. A reception at the Church will follow the service.
