Andrew was born in Salem, OH on June 8, 1987. He attended The Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering.
Andrew and the love of his life, Kelli Marie, were married for 12 years and enjoyed a beautiful life together. Being a man of character and strength, Andrew showed Kelli the love of Jesus Christ more truly than anyone she has ever known in this life.
He is survived by his wife, Kelli Marie Mott; parents, Richard and Jeanette Mott; two brothers, Jonathan Mott and David (Andria) Mott, and one sister, MaryEllen (Michael) Marrah; one niece, Aliyah Okyere, and two nephews, Ethan and Jayden Okyere; several cousins and extended family.
Andrew had a soft spot for their pups, Indi and Koda, spending hours playing, training, and just being silly. He also cherished time with his niece, nephews, and Godchildren, Zadie and Maddox.
Andrew worked several years as an engineer at Honda before being called to his career as a police officer. He served 5 years with the Columbus Police Department and was awarded the Division of Police Purple Heart in 2021. Officer Mott served his community with honor, courage, and integrity and earned an impeccable reputation as a law enforcement officer.
Andrew was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and also an active member of Oasis City Church, devoting his time to playing the bass guitar on the worship team and fixing “all the things.”
Andrew will always be remembered for his quick wit, sarcastic humor, and the way he always knew he was the best in the room.
Those who knew Andrew could not have asked for a better husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed every day while his memory resonates in the hearts of all who knew him.
Deeply respected. Fiercely loved. Immeasurably missed.
