Born on April 25, 2000, Alex was the beloved son of Jackie Wilson and Brian Wilson, and the cherished brother of Lyndsay, Evan, and stepsisters Lessa and Amanda. He is also survived by his grandparents Joe and Linda Zitnik; his aunts and uncles Joanna and Ryan Helon (his godparents), Joe Zitnik Jr., Judy and Tracy Finn, and Jill Zitnik; along with his cousins Christopher, Aidan, Erin, Addison, Luke, and Ethan. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Frank Wilson.
Alex grew up in South Carolina through elementary school before moving to Ohio with his family. He loved being outdoors, skateboarding, listening to music, and performing magic tricks. Alex always had endless energy and a zest for life. He loved spending time with his family. He later returned to South Carolina for a few years before moving to Atlanta, where he lived and worked with close friends.
With an open heart, Alex engaged with everyone he met, always eager to connect and share his thoughts. He never hesitated to strike up conversations and saw everyone as a potential friend. He had an uncanny memory and remembered everyone he met. He was sensitive, caring, and outgoing.
From a young age, Alex was intensely curious and always full of questions, eager to understand how things worked. He often took apart gadgets to see how they functioned and used the parts to create something new. This inquisitiveness stayed with him throughout his life, guiding him as he explored various trades. Alex worked in construction, tiling, and as a forklift operator, always working hard to afford the fancy things he liked. He also loved working on cars.
Alex will be deeply missed by his family and friends. He was so loved. His parents, siblings, extended family, and close friends will forever hold him in their hearts. He left us far too soon but he lived life his way, with adventure and a big, kind heart.
Visitation will be held on WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 21st from 4:00pm to 7:00p.m. at Schoedinger Worthington Funeral Home, 6699 N. HIGH STREET, WORTHINGTON, OH 43085 . A private family service will be held.
