William Clarke

Mr. William “Bill” Clarke, 61, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away May 14, 2014. He was born on March 8, 1953 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana Bill served honorably in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. He worked in manufacturing throughout his career. He never met anyone he couldn’t charm with his positive attitude and compassion. Even though Bill battled a long illness and many obstacles, he never complained. He loved to play the guitar and listen to jazz, blues and rock-n-roll. Bill also enjoyed playing golf and working on various crafts. He will be missed by all who knew him, and will be especially missed at his grandchildren’s sporting events. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Clarke and step-father, Alvin Saalfrank. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tina Clarke, daughters, Kaitlin Marie Garvey (Stephen) and Kaleigh Nicole Clarke (Lacey), grandchildren, Richard Edward Garvey, III (Trey), Elle Marie Garvey, Sara Kathryn Garvey, William Richard Garvey and Ryleigh Thompson, sister, Cindi Baker (Lynn), brothers, Nick Clarke (Christy), Mark Saalfrank (Megan), Tim Saalfrank (Anne) and Steve Saalfrank and mother, Barbara Saalfrank. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 12:00pm in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:00am-12:00pm.
