Walter George Neuman Sr.

Walter George Neuman Sr., age 83, of Alpharetta, GA passed away peacefully on the evening of Friday, October 21, 2022, to a sudden illness. Walter was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on November 17. 1938 to Evelyn and Walter Neuman.

He graduated from Murrell-Dobbins Vocational Technical School in June of 1956, after which he enlisted in the Marine Reserves. He received his military training at Parris Island, SC and was later transferred to “G” Company 1st Infantry at Camp Lejeune, NC. After discharging from the Marine Reserves, Walter married Margaret Sattazahn whom he was married to for 34 years.

Walter began his career working for a small printing company in Philadelphia before joining DuPont in 1959. After joining DuPont, Walter and his family moved to New Jersey, Delaware and finally Georgia, and he worked for DuPont for most of his career.

Survivors include his children, Walter Neuman Jr, and Paul Neuman, as well as their wives, and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Carter and Jackson.

A Celebration of Life for Walter will be held at a later date to be announced by the family.
