Virginia “Ginna” Lee (White) Hofmeister, age 85, of Woodstock, Georgia, formerly of Grafton, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 15, 2019.
Ginna was one of six children born to the late Clarence and Melvina White. Her siblings included Bobby, Honey, Pauline, Margaret and Susie. Ginna lived in Wisconsin for most of her life and on October 11, 1958, she married the love of her life, Paul. Their family grew to include three children: James, Daniel and Louise.
Ginna enjoyed being a homemaker and later worked for various manufacturing companies on the assembly lines. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church where she volunteered with food pantry ministry. She was considerate and often restocked the shelves herself throughout the year. She found joy in crocheting, sewing, reading and bingo. She had a great sense of humor and was a natural born storyteller: always entertaining others with embellished stories.
Ginna is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Leo Hofmeister Jr.; parents, Clarence White and Melvina (Truchon) White; and sister, Melvina “Honey” Carlson and her husband Rudy. Survivors include her children, Louise Reagin and her husband Russell of Acworth, GA, James Hofmeister and his wife Donna of Loveland, CO and Daniel Hofmeister and his wife Denise of Iron Ridge, WI; brother, Clarence “Bobby” White and his wife Carol of MO; sisters, Pauline Brown and her husband Melvin of CO, Margaret Halverson of WI and Ruth “Susie” Simpson of IN; 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Ginna’s family will celebrate her memory privately. Please consider donations to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.woodstockfuneralhome.com.
