Virginia was loved her family, especially being a Grandma. She also enjoyed baseball and football. When she wasn't watching sports, Virginia would be shopping, a favorite hobby of hers.
Virginia is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Virginia Maddox.
Virginia is lovingly survived by her husband, George Carnes; daughter, Paige Burns; grandsons, Wesley (Sydney) Burns, and Evan Burns; great granddaughter, August Burns; brother, Lester Maddox Jr., and by many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will occur Friday, October 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock, GA 30188. A committal service will occur Friday, October 4, 2024 from 2:00 PM at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Hwy, Sandy Springs, GA 30328.
