Roy H. Dunham, 92, of Woodstock, Georgia passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2016. Memorial services will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at Woodstock Funeral Home, in Woodstock, Georgia at 11:00 am. Family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:00 am Friday. Burial will be in the Georgia National Veteran’s Cemetery, Canton, Georgia.
Roy was born August 29, 1923 in Nixa, Missouri to parents Leslie and Lois Dunham. He is survived by wife of 72 years, Helen M. Dunham and 4 children, Sara Dunham, Michael Dunham, Merrily McLaughlin, and Richard Dunham, daughter-in-law Boone Dunham, son-in-law, John McLaughlin and brother, Ervin Jerrol Dunham of Baton Rouge, LA. He enlisted in the Army Air Corp in 1943 and served as a P38 Fighter Pilot in the European Theatre in World War II. He retired after 30 years with the Tennessee Valley Authority in Knoxville, TN, seven years as Director of the Division of Engineering Design, ten years with Bechtel Power Corp. in Memphis, TN and Gaithersburg, Maryland and moved to Georgia.
