He was a deeply beloved father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to all who knew him. Known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering positivity, Bobby always put others before himself. His gentle spirit and warm presence touched countless lives.
Bobby was a lifelong entrepreneur who poured his heart into founding and growing Seal Tech, a company he built from the ground up. With unmatched work ethic and dedication, he devoted his life to making Seal Tech a lasting success—most especially so he could one day pass it on to his son. The company stands as a testament to his perseverance, vision, and deep love for his family.
Outside of work, Bobby had a passion for restoring classic cars and collecting antiques, particularly Civil War artifacts. His collections were a reflection of his appreciation for craftsmanship and history, and they brought him great joy over the years.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Thurman Doyle, and her husband, Ryan Cannon Doyle, along with their children, Cannon Thurman Doyle, Courson Ryan Doyle, and Blakely Elizabeth Doyle. He is also survived by his son, Robert Justin Thurman, and his wife, Gina Misitano Thurman, and their son, Robert Justin Thurman Jr. Bobby also leaves behind his cherished dog, Stella.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to support lung cancer research in Bobby’s memory:

With Bobby’s selfless nature, he would have wanted to help others facing similar challenges. This tribute fund was created in his honor to do just that—to support vital research and offer hope to families impacted by lung cancer.
A private service will be held on April 18, 2025.
